Does your child love to write? Have they ever wanted to show off their creativity and writing skills? If so, we have some exciting news! This year’s Arizona PBS Writing Contest is sponsored by Primavera and your child can now enter for a chance to win some big prizes!

This writing contest is open to all elementary school students in grades K-5.  Students can write stories, or even non-fiction essays. It’s up to your child! The best part is that they can be as creative as they want.

Writing Prompt:

What do you think school will be like in the future?

Help us imagine what the future of school might be like by writing and/or illustrating your fiction or nonfiction story and win cool prizes. Is school in the future still in a classroom, or in your bedroom, under the sea or on the moon? You decide! Use your imagination and create the future.

To enter the contest, write and/or illustrate a story that shows or takes place at a school of the future. Stories can be fact or fiction and should be submitted by Monday, May 1, 2023.

Prizes* will be awarded for first, second and third place for each grade level. The prizes will be:

  • First place: Lenovo ThinkPad Laptop & $100 savings bonds
  • Second place: POGO Pass & $50 savings bonds
  • Third place: 3D drawing pen & $25 savings bonds

All the winners will be invited to a special celebration at Arizona PBS after the judging concludes. Plus, each winner will receive scholarship money!

Entering the writing contest is a great way for your child to show off their writing skills and have fun. So, let’s start writing! Good luck!
