If you participated in a volunteer event at least once in 2017, you could win a scholarship and a paid trip to Washington D.C.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Award honors students in every state who are making a difference. The scholarship is open to 5–12th grade students who try to serve their communities.

Interested the Prudential Spirit of Community Award? Here’s how to apply:

To get started:

  • Fill out an application by November 6 at spirit.prudential.com or nassp.org/spirit.
  • Get nominated by a guidance counselor. Counselors have to select students by November 16. Our counselors will be able to select 1 out of every 1,000 students.

The Prudential Spirit of Community committee will select one nomination from each state, plus 10 runners-up. If you are selected, you could be eligible for the $1,000 scholarship.

From the selected in each student are 10 national finalists. If you’re one of the top 10 national youth selected, you will win $5,000 and a paid trip to Washington DC to attend the ceremony.
