Special Education Parent Agreement
Special education services are essential to supporting student success in and outside of the classroom. Parents are encouraged to review the Special Education Parent Agreement to understand the attendance policy for students receiving special education services at Primavera Online School. Please contact your child’s special education instructor with any questions regarding the information in the Special Education Parent Agreement.

e-IEP PRO Parent Portal
The e-IEP PRO Parent Portal allows instant access to your student’s most recent special education documents that are finalized. To access the Parent Portal, enter the parent/guardian email address that matches the email address on the student’s profile. e-IEP PRO will email your Access Key needed to access your student’s special education documents. The access key will remain the same for the school year.

Destruction of Records Notice
Pursuant to A.R.S. §41-1351 and the General Records Retention Schedule for School Districts and Charter Schools Student Records (#000-11-53) established by Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records (L.A.P.R.), Special Education Records (including placement records, referrals, evaluations, testing data and other related records) will be destroyed “four (4) years after the fiscal year of final enrollment.” Primavera Online School will destroy all special education records that are older than four years as of 7/1/2024. Before these records are destroyed, parents and/or eligible students have the right to review the records and obtain copies of any information needed. To schedule an appointment, please call Gina Little at 480-456-6678 prior to. Destruction will take place 8/1/2024.

Transfer of Rights at Age of Majority
Guardianship of an Adult Student Forms
In Arizona, when a student with a disability reaches 18 years of age, all rights previously accorded to the child’s parents under the IDEA and state law transfer to the student, unless the student has been declared legally incompetent. The transfer of rights will automatically occur on your child’s 18th birthday.
A student with a disability between the ages of 18 and 22 who has not been declared legally incompetent and has the ability to give informed consent may execute a Delegation of Right to Make Educational Decisions. The delegation allows the student to appoint his/her parent or agent to make educational decisions on his/her behalf. The student has the right to terminate the agreement at any time and resume his/her right to make decisions. The specific wording to be included in the agreement can be found in the Arizona Revised Statutes 15-773.
The delegation of right to make educational decisions shall: contain language indicating the pupil is eighteen years of age or older but under twenty-two years of age; contain language that the pupil intends to delegate the pupil’s educational rights under state and federal law to a specified individual who is at least eighteen years of age; contain language that the pupil has not been declared legally incompetent; contain language that the pupil is entitled to be present during the development of any individualized education plan and that any issues or concerns raised by the pupil will be addressed; not exceed one year in duration, but may be renewed with the written or other formal authorization of the pupil and the person who accepts the delegation each year until the pupil reaches twenty-two years of age; contain language permitting the pupil to terminate at any time; be signed by the pupil or contain some other manifestation of assent that the pupil has agreed to the terms of the delegation; be signed or assented to by the person who accepts the delegation; be notarized.
If a student wants his or her parent or another trusted adult to attend IEP meetings, the student may invite the parent to the IEP meeting. A student at the age of majority inviting parents to support them in their decision making does not require a transfer of educational rights.

Si un estudiante quiere que sus padres u otro adulto de confianza asistan a las reuniones del IEP, el estudiante puede invitar a los padres a la reunión del IEP. Un estudiante en la mayoría de edad que invita a los padres a apoyarlo en su toma de decisiones no requiere una transferencia de derechos educativos.
