At Primavera, we have some of the best, most talented, hard-working students there are! That’s why we’ve decided to shine the light on a few of our amazing students.

Each month, our teachers nominate a student they feel has gone above and beyond, and we get the opportunity to get to know them and shine the light on them a bit in this blog!

Check out their stories below:

High School Student of the Month: River: Henry Unvericht

Henry is an 11th-grade student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Bryan Van Gelder.

“Henry is one of the best students I’ve had at Primavera.  He comes to every live session and participates fully, very often finding and understanding the answers and concepts before I get to fully explain them.  He is always helpful and encouraging to other students in the live sessions, as well.  Henry is fun and funny when we are more relaxed in the class, but he also helps to bring the class back into focus with his leadership.  He is an absolute pleasure to have in my classes with his relaxed and helpful disposition.”

Question: Why did you choose Primavera?

I am in Primavera to have fun in a virtual classroom and make life a little brighter, mostly trying to finish somewhat early, and I moved from Tennessee which was kind of sudden.

Question: What would you like your classmates to know about you?

“Live your life as a revolution and not just a process of evolution. I realized today that if I stay on a path of gradual evolution into the man I ultimately want to become, I am going to run out of time before I reach the goal.” – Steve Sabol

Question: What makes you a successful student?

I have myself a strict time that my parents have made for me, I get up at 8 in the morning and keep working until 3-4, that’s mainly because I have sessions. Being participatory and listening to your teachers along with asking questions allows you to understand the problem.

Question: What advice would you give other students to be successful?

“You can do something for someone and it will be of help at the time, but if you don’t teach them how to do it themselves, they will forever be dependent.” – Unknown

“Develop success from failures.” – Unknown

“Trust yourself to succeed eventually.” – Unknown

Question: What do you want your teachers to know?

There’s a quote that goes along the lines teamwork starts with trust, I believe I’ve put all my trust into all my teachers and I’ve taken that encouragement from you guys, truly if anyone deserves a medal or “student of the month”, it should be the teachers, they push every student to learn something, even if we the students can learn a little or all of the subject we’re learning.

Once again, congratulations to all of our Student of the Month recipients. We are proud of you for all you have accomplished!
