High school September updates

Primavera resources available to your student this school year

Dear Families,

We continue to be impressed with the dedication and integrity our students bring to our virtual classrooms. We see them work diligently to explore new topics and maintain their grades and we are incredibly proud to celebrate their accomplishments.

We also know there are times when students may feel overwhelmed, especially when balancing schoolwork, extracurriculars and part-time jobs. Studies from the CDC show that more than a third of teens in the U.S. reported a decline in their mental health in 2021. While our high school students continue to grow academically, socially and emotionally, we wanted to take a moment to share some of the school resources available to support students and parents.

  • Primavera counselors provide a safe space for students seeking guidance on classes, after-graduation plans, mental health support and more. We have 14 counselors at the high school level who are well-equipped to aid your student. If your child needs mental health support, please encourage them to speak with their counselor.
  • Extracurriculars are a great way to connect with peers, explore new passions and find time for enrichment away from the computer screen. You can find a list of after-school programs by visiting primaveraonline.com/student-life.
  • Primavera teachers and administrators can serve as mentors to students, offering guidance on managing coursework and balancing free time with at-home learning. We encourage students to connect with their teachers frequently, whether it’s through open hours or in classroom chats, to discuss any academic, social or emotional concerns.
  • The Primavera website houses ample resources for families, including information about academics, extracurriculars, school events and more. We encourage families to frequently visit our website to monitor for news and important updates.

At Primavera, we hope your student continues to not only thrive in their learning environment but feels safe to reach out for support if they need it. We are thrilled to be a part of our students’ educational experiences and are grateful for your continued partnership in their journey.

Sincerely,

Jason Tourville

Executive Director of Academics
