Does your child love to write and/or draw? Are they interested in showcasing their creativity and skills? If so, we have an exciting announcement! This year’s Arizona’s PBS Writing Contest is sponsored by Primavera and your child can now enter for a chance to win!
This writing contest is open to all students in grades K-5. Students can write and/or illustrate a story.
The theme this year ties into the upcoming Teacher Appreciation Week, which is from May 6 to 10, 2024.
Writing Prompt:
Help us imagine The Ultimate Field Trip you would take with your favorite teacher. What would you see and what would you do in the jungle so green or the ocean so blue? Sail down the river in a canoe or race in a spaceship up to the moon? You decide!
Deadline:
To enter the contest, your child must write and/or illustrate a story about The Ultimate Field Trip with their favorite teacher. Stories must be submitted by Sunday, May 12, 2024.
Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place for each grade level. The prizes will be:
- First place: Amazon Fire Tablet
- Second place: VR Headset
- Third place: 3D Drawing Pen
All the winners will be invited to a special celebration at Arizona PBS after the judging concludes. Each winner’s work will be featured on the Arizona PBS website too!
