At Primavera, we have some of the best, most talented, hard working students there are! That’s why we’ve decided to shine the light on a few of our amazing students.

Each month, our teachers nominate a student they feel has gone above and beyond, and we get the opportunity to get to know them and shine the light on them a bit in this blog!

Elementary School Student of the Month: Jade Morales

Jade is a kindergarten student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Kimberly Young.

Jade is an awesome Kindergarten student.  I am so proud of Jade, because when she started kindergarten, she was a very shy student.  She always came to live classes. but she did not like to use her microphone….  Now,  she always participates on her webcam and on her microphone. Jade is brave, and now feels confident to participate and answer questions in all her classes.  And she almost always gets the answer right!  She is doing super in Math, and recently she has started reading!!!  Jade is a very smart girl that works very hard.  She loves learning and is doing fantastic!!! She is a Star Student!!!”

Question: Why did you choose Primavera?

I wanted to stay home with my parents, and I was bored at regular school.

Question: What would you like your classmates to know about you?

That I love animals.

Question: What makes you a successful student?

Paying attention in class.

Question: What advice would you give other students to be successful?

Listen to your teacher.

Question: What do you want your teachers to know?

I like math and health class.


Elementary School Student of the Month: Quinton Simpson

Quinton is a 1st-grade student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Roxanne Hudson.

“Quinton has been doing an amazing job in class! I have seen him flourish and work hard each day. He always comes to live sessions with a great attitude and helps set the tone for the day. He participates actively and we can always count on him to put a smile on our faces. He is a Lego wizard and we love the guest appearances from his cat during our sessions. Keep up the amazing work.”

Let’s get to know Quinton!

Question: Why did you choose Primavera?

I chose Primavera because I thought it would be fun.

Question: What would you like your classmates to know about you?

I love fun Fridays with my classmates. I also like to build Lego cars and other Lego sets. I have a cat named Clover that I rescued. I also like to play Minecraft with my dad.

Question: What makes you a successful student?

I do my best and work really hard in my classes.

Question: What advice would you give other students to be successful?

Work hard and do your best but still have fun.

Question: What do you want your teachers to know?

Thank you for being a great teacher and helping me learn new things while making it fun.


Elementary School Student of the Month: Khadija Kefi

Khadija is a 4th-grade student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Desiree Guarino.

“Khadija has had the strongest start of any student I have ever had who has started mid-term! I am so impressed with her academic performance and consistent attendance in lives. Khadija hit the ground running when she started on April 1st! She consistently messages me with clarifying questions and makes sure she is on top of her work. Awesome start Khadija!”

Question: Why did you choose Primavera?

We wanted to try online schooling after moving from California, so we chose Primavera based on the great reviews we saw online.

Question: What would you like your classmates to know about you?

I like swimming, puppies and really love stitch (the Disney character).

Question: What makes you a successful student?

Dedication and hard working.

Question: What advice would you give other students to be successful?

Never give up and never say never.

Question: What do you want your teachers to know?

That I love being part of this amazing school, learning online made me focus more on the topics that I love most (Math, Science and Reading) and I love my teacher Mrs. Desiree and I love how she supports us every day.


Middle School Student of the Month: Allen Bass-Goodman

Allen is an 8th-grade student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Ronda Gillespie.

“Allen is a hard worker and always strives for the best. His mom claims that Allen does not like school, but Allen does not let it show. He is a great student.”

Question: Why did you choose Primavera?

I chose Primavera because the flexibility of schedule and the support the teachers provide.

Question: What would you like your classmates to know about you?

I like to stay positive and encouraging to others.

Question: What makes you a successful student?

I try my hardest and if I get a low score I study and try again.

Question: What advice would you give other students to be successful?

You can do anything. Don’t get discouraged if it takes more than one try to do something.

Question: What do you want your teachers to know?

I appreciate all your help and patience.
